As a parent of a marcher (and a Band Booster to boot) of another Panther Pride Band (Putnam City North High School in OKC, OK) I know how hard the band works. Congrats to all!!!

    Just wanted to let all of my fellow classmates from the class of '97 know that we were well represented when the U.S. Army smashed the Iraqi army in the desert. I just got home from a 7 month deployment in Baghdad and I can't wait to hear from any of you again. My wife and I are currently in Fort Stewart, Georgia, but we will soon be moving to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. I wish I could have been there for our 5 year reunion but I had other things going on.     Had a really great time in Panhandle during Pioneer Days. Is that what its called? Anyway, old friends were great and the barbeque delicious. Where was the Class of l945? I was there from Maryland. Gene (Corky) from Amrillo and of course, Floyd Scott with his camera. still living in Panhandle. Stayed at the Texan Hotel, part of the Texas Past. and would recommend it for any out of town visitors.
    Visited the cemetary to pay respects and remained a long time walking through the rows 0f graves.
    Decided I know more people in the cemetary that I do in Panhandle.
    Visited with Mary Ewing, my second grade teacher, who passed on to me tha love of reading. God will bless her for all she taught.

    Been living in Panhandle since I retired from the Air Force in 95. Been working for the Department of Energy at Pantex (in one capacity or another) since October 95.     HEY Class of '82! Plans are being made for our big 20th reunion! Can you believe it?!?!? Here are two dates to mark on your calendar. July 6th there will be a get-together at the Panhandle Country Club starting at 2:00. Bring your family for an afternoon of fun at the pool.
    The traditional reunion will be Sept.20th and Sept. 21st. On Friday night, we will meet at Kevin Brown's house after the football game. This will be a "grown-up" party!     heard of one of our classmates remarrying after her husband's death
    to another PHS Graduate's husband who had lost her in the same year.
    What a lovely thing to happen. We are fine and enjoying life.Where are all our old classmates, don't we have computers? Come on, the only one I see close to mine that I remember is my cousin Jerry Cummings and H.B. Skelton and yes H.B., I do remember all those things, the drug stores, Hendricks Drug, the Movie Theatre, the Dance
    Hall and Skating Rink and McCaskey DrugStore and all the rest. Most of drank Cherry Cokes and thought it a great treat. I remember all of
    those teachers H.B. mentioned and our graduation time when we walked
    down thru the arches of roses to that special music that was played
    every year. Panhandle has a lot of heritage to be proud of.

If you can remember Kellis Turner, Ma Simms, James McDaniel, the first year Panhandle High had a track team an ran on a dirt track(and beat the Amarillo Sandies in every track meet), when Phillips was our enemy in football, when McCaskeys had the drug store where we gathered every Sat. morning after our Friday football game, when the main street was filled with cars and you couldn't find a parking place, when you could go to a movie at the Panhandle theatre--and a lot more, the you are as old as I am and I'd love to hear from you.
